Travelling our home town, Zurich city!
This year we decided on spending the whole summer in Switzerland.
Honestly, I have not regret our decision. Sure, the weather condition has been a good teammate so far, but also I sense it freeing not have to think about getting things together, packing up and then travel to a probably unknown place. Yes, being a mummy made me appreciate the swing of things. Don't get me wrong, I love travelling abroad, but my husband and I both favor places, which we are familiar with (such as Los Angeles, New York City or Barcelona).
Because went on a trip to Los Angeles last September and New York City in April, we thought it would be the most relaxing to soak up Swiss air during the summer months this year.
Switzerland offers loads of beautiful places and things to be explored. We live in the magnificent city of Zurich, have family living closer to the mountains. While everyone else is travelling we are benefiting of less crowded swimming pools, playgrounds, streets and trams! And also the farmers market was pretty deserted :)
And also: what's the point of missing precious days of the rather short Swiss summer season?
On Sunday we kicked off our vacation week with a bike trip to the lake of Zurich. Currently we get to use an amazing cargo eBike from Bosch (more info here >> eBike Systems). We actually dreamed of having such a bike since living in Los Angeles in 2015. It's not only a bike, it's a lifestyle and perfectly matching summer!!
Monday looked pretty similar to Sunday, hello habits ;) But this time we drove a little further. We planed on visiting the Wildnispark Zürich Langenberg - but, Lee fell asleep on our way and since we wanted him to see the place, we decided on rerouting and ended up in the beautiful Park im Grüene - and of course swam and relaxed at our favourite swimming pool: Strandbad Mythenquai.
Lee will be with my parents from Tuesday on and my husband and I are very excited to be partnering with Mazda Schweiz and participate the My Magic Road Trip (we'll be leaving on Thursday, stay tuned for more).
