NYC

On our third day in NYC we met our friends for coffee at  REX - a teeny tiny place in Hell's Kitchen, not too far away from Columbus Circle. They serve Counter Coffee, a wide variety of teas and pastries baked in house. Decent prices ($8 for a small latte, a drip and a scone) - that's fair!

My husband and I then took the subway to Union Square and walked to the SoHo location of Warby Parker to buy some new glasses. Their prices are unbeatable. $95 for a pair of glasses with prescription and free shipping to your place (within 7-10 work days). Sweet!
Since living in L.A. we're not used to the cold weather anymore, so went to gran another coffee. For this time it was La Colombe Torrefaction Coffee Roasters. That place has been on my list for two years and I finally made it :) The almond milk cortado was as expected: delicioso!
Just don't go there if you need wifi / a bathroom! ;)

after our break we then went for a little more walking, window shopping, talking etc. and ended up at the Lower East Side location of Bareburger for dinner. They serve organic and all natural burgers and all kind of other stuff. Very delicious sweet potato fries, cauliflower hummus and the Sir Kensington mustard with maple syrup is off the chain! We liked!
