new york city II

Another great day in NYC. We walked from our apartment to the Brooklyn Roasting Company for good coffee. They did not let us down at all. Their building is within an industrial quarter close to the Manhattan Bridge. I got an almond milk cap and David a latte and an almond donut. They serve fresh food from a local caterer, and fresh smoothies. The place is big and there's a book / gift store in the back. Wonderful place. Make sure not to be in a rush when you get there, it might be packed. From there we walked to the Brooklyn Bridge park, where you have a stunning view over to Manhattan.

At 5pm we met our friends in Williamsburg, went for a stroll through the neighbourhood had a look at the Madewell shop and walked over the Williamsburg Bridge - the sun set and the ambiance was breathtaking.

for dinner we went to
Siggy's good food - they serve home-style / comfort food (Mediterranean style), made with 100% organic, sustainable and whole-food ingredients. A lot of gluten-free and vegan options available.
I got the eggplant veggie & tofu lasagna (v&gf), no noodle lasagne with tofu-ricotta. YUM!!!!
