Brooklyn, we're gonna be back very soon!

my husband and I love to explore NYC.
one of our new favorite areas to hang out is Brooklyn. there are heaps of cool shops, bars, restaurants, coffee spots and parks. no rush, no running (or, ehm, hm: just a little morning run in Mc Carren Park) =D

here some good addresses to hang, dine, shop.. - enjoy!

our friend Stephanie is currently working at that lovely restaurant. that's why we went there. good food (fresh fresh fresh), good music, best waitress, quietness.. nothing more requested! ;)

we ordered a "market salad" (kale, brussel sprouts, apples, cranberries, nuts, blue cheese) and a "damn good steak" - the steak was served on toasted bread (like proper bread) ;) with arugula and bacon-potatoe salad on the side. the steak definitely deserves it's name!
I had a glass of the Riesling and my husband got the happy hour special on the beer menu (2 for 1).
- they do have more than 20 beers on tap! STRONG PLACE!

big breakfast at Café LULUC
Stephanie recommended that place! Café Luluc is famous for their pancakes. so we went there trying them (actually: more Dave than me) ;) I ordered the granola with yoghurt and fruit. and we finally tried our first ever Bloody Mary (for unbeatable $6 only)! looked good, but we both did not really like it ;)
the buttermilk pancakes are definitely worth to try! they were unbelievably fluffy.. and huge (real American ones), served with two fried eggs on top and sausages!
if you prefer the "healthy" start into your day: don't go to Café Luluc. we both didn't like the granola - it was just sugar and butter.. more a crumble than a granola. but the yoghurt and fruit were delicious! =o) and the prices are low: $7 for the Granola, $12 for Daves huge breakfast plate! it used to be a French restaurant - the interior is still French, but the employees were all Mexicans.. super friendly staff!
