one week NYC. one week of good food. not easy to decide where to hang out! there are more than 20'000 restaurants. some recommendations..

five leaves, Williamsburg, 18 Bedford Ave
the granola was just excellent - a bowl filled with plain yoghurt, house made granola, a lot of berries and fruit ($8 - unbeatable)! exactly the way I like it!
and try the cappuccino.. (probably one of the best I've had in NYC)

+ very reasonable prices

St. Balmain, Williamsburg, 178 N 8th Street
I got to spend my birthday morning at St. Balmains. we sat in the spacious backyard - it was a wonderful and sunny morning. the backyard is such a relaxing and quiet place, right in the middle of Williamsburg.

I had the super yummie acai bowl - topped with fresh fruit and house made granola ($12) and a freshly squeezed orange juice ($3). both was completely delicious! the perfect start into my birthday!

+ prices are a bit higher than at five leaves, but definitely worth it!

.. after a walk over the highline (I just love that place) we went to the meatball shop for a drink and after that  we had a snack at Hana Sushi (nothing fancy, but the sushi was good, the employees very friendly and their prices are low).
from there we walked across the Williamsburg bridge and went to Mole for Mexican food (the plates are quite big, good for sharing)!

Many thanks to my beloved husband, Stephanie, JB, Dino and Desi.. I enjoyed - because of you!
